DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE SOCIO-SCIENTIFIC BINOCULARS
Thesocialscientist blog was developed to spread the gospel of the socio-scientific analysis of the concept of development, viewing phenomenon's from the prisms of the social science disciplines, and proffering veritable solutions to the menace of underdevelopment that has bedeviled Africa for several decades, particularly Nigeria.
The African continent is often pinned to the legal analysis of the concept of development, giving little or no operational milieu to other elements which are the princedoms of development. These elements include: Sociology-which studies the relational attitudes and behaviors’ of groups and individuals in the society, tended towards societal advancement; History-which deals with the excavation of truths, facts and ideas that promote political and economic development, preventing a negative past from reerrupting, and constructing a palatial milieu for posterity; Philosophy– which deals on the wisdom of development by generating ideas and ideologies that bring about and promote development; Political Science and Public Administration– which are often described as the concrete princedoms of social engineering that bring about the rapid spread of the gospel of socioeconomic cum political development of nations and nation-states.
It is expedient to state emphatically that we are not in any way antithetical to the jurisprudential analysis and perception of development, rather we stand to give complementing views and perspectives that are innate in development when personified.
We are business conscious persons with special focus and dedication to the business of development, which cuts across personal, group, national and international development. Though we enjoy fun here, we do not promote unprofitable funfair; as any society that is pinned to such will fall into the pit of frustration and fatal impoverishment.
This site is dedicated to all social scientists whose whims are directed towards and ideological revolution that culminates in social engineering, bringing about viable solutions to the imminent problems of society that encumbers development. E.g. corruption, climate change and a host of others which has become global cankerworms.
